Four Seasons at Hemet has achieved certification of our Community as a Firewise USA community. Firewise USA is a division of NFPA, the National Fire Protection Association. We must recertify in November 2022. NFPA informs us that various insurance companies, e.g., USAA and Mercury, offer discounts to homes in a Firewise USA-certified community. This certification is not common in the Inland Empire, so many insurance agents are unaware; however, when talking to a potential insurance agent, ask if they can get you a discount for being in an NFPA Fire Wise certified community, and if not, why not. While EPC/CERT/Firewise USA cannot guarantee you will get a discount from any insurance company, this gives you another tool to use when shopping for insurance.
